Speedy Services has relocated its specialty London Power branch to Erith, and invested more than £1 million (about U.S. $1.62 million) in new equipment and services at the site. The new Erith branch replaces Speedy’s previous power branch in Charlton.
The new 120,000-square-foot facility has been strategically positioned close to the Thames Crossing and M25 to provide faster response times and increased reach across greater London and Southeast England. As part of a £7 million nationwide fleet investment (about U.S. $11.4 million), more than £1 million has been spent at Erith, with 15 new jobs created, 10 of which are in engineer roles.
In addition to generators, the Erith facility will house 20 call-out engineers available on a 24/7 basis as well as an on-site workshop to support customers’ time-critical projects in the region. Growing demand for Speedy’s fuel management service has resulted in increased capacity in this business segment at the new Erith branch.
Five specialist staff have been hired for individual and dedicated pumps, compressors and generator rental desks. These product expert workers will be placed to provide advice and support packages tailored to the individual needs of customers.

The relocation to the improved site has enabled the expansion of the on-site fleet holdings, service engineers and fuel-management services, enhancing our response times and capabilities to our customers in the region.”
