Speedy Hire this week signed a three-year extension to its existing preferred supplier agreement with its customer Carillion. The contract will now run from 2012 until 2016 and is expected to be worth more than £50 million (about U.S. $78 million) during the next four years.
The agreement reinforces Speedy’s relationship with Carillion as its preferred supplier for a full range of products and services across all of Carillion’s U.K. operations including joint ventures where it is the lead company.
“I am delighted that we continue to develop our relationship with Carillion, one of the U.K.’s largest construction and support service companies,” said Steve Corcoran, Speedy’s chief executive. “This new agreement is another important step in our growth in our key markets of water, waste, energy and transport, all of which are undertaking major new infrastructure projects in the U.K.
Speedy Hire, the U.K.’s largest tool and equipment rental company, is based in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, U.K.
