Speedy Hire recently opened its first “superstore” in Scotland.

The 15,000-square-foot superstore in Edinburgh, employs 16 people. Speedy officials said the company plans to open more than 30 superstores around the U.K. by 2012. The facility features small tools, lift equipment, survey equipment, light construction and industrial equipment, supplies and fencing, and also offers testing, inspection and repair services for aerial equipment.

Speedy Hire, based in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, U.K., is the U.K.’s largest rental company.
