Speedy Hire Spends £4.5 Million on Aerial Equipment

Speedy Hire, the U.K.’s leading rental services provider, said this week that it has invested more than £4.5 million (about U.S. $7.2 million) in aerial products. The company has purchased £2 million (about U.S. $3.2 million) worth of Skyjack equipment, including two new products, and has spent £1 million on expanding its existing range of Hybrid aerial lifts. It also spent £1.5 million on Boss Alloy Towers and podiums.

The Skyjack equipment includes the 12-foot Skyjack vertical mast lift and the Skyjack 19-foot electric scissorlift, the tallest self-propelled unit in Speedy’s core fleet with a working height of 7.8 meters. The units will be stocked in specialist locations. The units can be driven at full height and have a two-person capacity as well as a range of safety features including overload sensing systems and a tilt alarm with drive and lift cutout.

Speedy also provides advice too its customers on working safely at height and an extensive range of training courses.

Speedy Hire is based in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, U.K.
