Speedy Hire, the United Kingdom’s largest tool and equipment rental company, was named supplier of the year by COINS (Construction Industry Solutions) at COINS’ annual electronic trading community meeting. The COINS electronic trading community process more than 1.5 million invoices annually, connecting more than 80 contractors and home builders with their supply chain partners.

Speedy was praised for developing more e-invoicing connections than any other community member.

“We have increased the number of customers taking electronic orders by 66 percent in the last 12 months and have seen the number of invoices being transmitted electronically more than double to over 15,000 invoices per month,” said Mark Patmore, technical project manager for e-Trading at Speedy.

Speedy offers electronic invoicing to all COINS customers and is currently providing e-invoices to 79 contractors, including Balfour Beatty, Kier Group and Osborne, and has added the new functionality to its customer extranet.
