Saubot, Appleton, Miller to Speak at Europlatform

A strong line-up of speakers will address the main topic of “Financing Growth” at the Europlaform access rental conference Sept. 13 at the MECC in Maastricht, the Netherlands, a day before the start of the APEX show. Europlatform is organized by the International Powered Access Federation along with Access International.

The keynote speaker will by Haulotte chief operating officer Alexandre Saubot, who will speak on “Managing the Growth Cycle,” talking about what the aerial rental sector has learned from the recent financial crisis and how to better manage business cycles.

Current trends in financing and how to obtain capital investment funds will be covered by Bruce Williams, managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa for JLG Financial Services.

Kevin Appleton, former CEO of Lavendon, will discuss why rental companies should use the financial measure return on capital employed to generate sustained profits.

Loxam’s director of financing Maeg Videau will talk about making successful acquisitions. IPAF technical officer Chris Wraith will analyze safety issues associated with adding specialist access units to a fleet.

Rental consultant and former Sunbelt Rentals executive Chuck Miller will share expertise on how to manage a rental sales force.

A panel discussion will round up the conference, which will be held in English with simultaneous translation into German, Italian and Spanish.
