Rental Solutions & Services, a global provider of rental power, temporary cooling and mobile water solutions, has installed 66,820kW of rental cooling in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, capital of United Arab Emirates, the company said. Abu Dhabi has increased its demand for temperature control rental equipment as its economy recovers and strategically diversifies its economy to non-petroleum-related projects.

RSS is currently supplying temporary chiller installations and temperature-control applications equipment to two hospitals, the largest mall in Abu Dhabi, the largest sports complex in the capital, maritime vessels, aviation hangars, more than 20 high-rise towers including government, residential, commercial and hotels, the company said.

“UAE’s capital has an estimated rental cooling demand of 40,000 tons refrigeration (140,674kW), which RSS has a market share of 50 percent,” said Robert Bagatsing, group marketing manager. “Abu Dhabi is definitely out from the economic slowdown and the city is thriving to succeed its 2030 vision plan. Abu Dhabi’s oil and gas, petrochemical and refineries are still the prime mover of its GDP. However, the non-petroleum-related businesses such as construction, heavy industries, hospitality, healthcare, maritime and logistics has been very active since the first quarter of 2011, thus demand for cooling, especially during summer months has tremendously been overwhelming for all rental companies like RSS.”
