Ramirent Sweden was selected as a total solution supplier of rental equipment in the expansion of Boliden’s operations at the Garpenberg mine near Hedemora, Sweden. The value of the agreement is about SEK 70 million (about U.S. $10.1 million) over the next three years.

The mine expansion will increase the production of zinc ore from the current 1.4 million to 2.5 million tonnes per year.

Ramirent will supply heavy equipment, lifts and other rental equipment and accessories to all subcontractors operating at the site. Ramirent will also supply offices, changing rooms, washroom and canteen modules for the project workforce.

Ramirent will open an outlet at the Garpenberg site where personnel will offer equipment, service and parts.

Ramirent, based in Helsinki, Finland, and has operations in 13 European countries. It has 84 locations in Sweden.
