Ramirent Finland this week signed an agreement to acquire Suomen Sääsuoja, based in Tuusula, Finland, which specializes in renting scaffolding and weather protection equipment. The management and employees will transfer to the new owner’s employ. Suomen Sääsuoja had 2010 revenue of €5.9 million (about U.S. $8.4 million). The company has branches in Tuusula and Pori.
“This acquisition strengthens Ramirent’s position in the growing weather protection market and enables Ramirent to offer a comprehensive range of services,” said Mika Eskola, managing director of Teline-Rami Oy, a subsidiary of Ramirent that offers scaffolding services. “Furthermore, the know-how and expertise in Suomen Sääsuoja Oy contributes to the development of our services and solidify Ramirent’s position within our core customer sectors. For our customers, this means safer activities all-year around regardless of weather conditions.”
Ramirent, based in Helsinki, Finland with operations in 13 countries, has 84 branches in Finland with annual revenue of €137 million (about U.S. $195 million).
