European rental giant Ramirent has acquired the machinery and equipment rental business of NTC Stavebni Tecnika spol. a.r.o., a Czech construction machinery company. The acquisition strengthens Ramirent’s presence in Czech Republic with three new branches.

Founded in 1991 NTC is active in the production, sale and rental of construction equipment. Its operations were certified by the ISO 9001:2009 quality control system. The seven employees of the equipment rental operation will continue their employment with Ramirent.

“The acquisition is in line with Ramirent’s strategy of developing a nationwide coverage in its markets,” said Tomasz Walawender, senior vice president, Ramirent Europe Central. “NTC has a geographical presence that complements Ramirent’s existing network and brings us closer to our customers in the East Bohemia region in the Czech Republic.”

Ramirent, based in Helsinki, Finland, has operations in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
