Report Sees U.K. Strong Rental Growth Through 2011 

Dublin, Ireland-based Research and Markets last week released its Plant Hire Market Report 2007 predicting “reasonably strong growth between 2007 and 2011.” The report estimated the U.K. market for plant, tool and access hire at an estimated £7.63 billion in 2006 (about U.S. $15.9 billion). ...

Cramo Grows Rental 25 Percent in First Nine Months; Acquires Swedish Aerial Companies 

Finnish multi-national rental company Cramo’s consolidated sales increased by 23.4 percent from January through September, with a 26.4-percent jump for continuing operations, excluding the Dutch business operations Cramo divested in April. Organic growth was 23.9 percent. Volume was boosted by favorable market conditions, a higher rental equipment penetration rate, positive price development and successful equipment investments in the main market area. Total volume for the nine-month period was €352.7 million (about U.S. $523 million), up from €258.8 million last year....

Cramo estimates the acquisition will provide annual rental volume of at least Danish Kroner 100 million (about U.S. $19.5 million). ...

ConExpo Asia Attendance Expected to Triple 

ConExpo Asia 2007, to be held in Guangzhou, China, Dec. 4-7, is tracking at triple the number of attendee registrations compared with two months before the 2006 show. Cramo Reaches Site Hut Outsourcing Agreement
