HSS Hire Service Group, a U.K.-based national supplier of tool and equipment rental and outsourcing services, was appointed the preferred supplier for the outsourced management of the equipment needs of Enterprise, an infrastructure maintenance support services company, in a multi-million pound deal.

HSS will source and manage the supply of all equipment requirements and maintenance across the Enterprise business in the U.K. Whilst Enterprise will continue to work with and maintain contractual relationships with its established supply chain on existing framework contracts, HSS will manage all areas of hire operations, order processing and equipment management on their behalf.

As part of the agreement, HSS will welcome a number of new hire desk consultants, fitters, engineers and ground care experts who will transfer over from employment with Enterprise.

Enterprise is a £1.2 billion (about U.S. $1.87 billion) business that maintains the infrastructure of the U.K. It is the U.K.’s largest dedicated maintenance and frontline service provider to the public sector and utility industry.
