U.K. rental company Hewden has signed a 12-month Tier 1 contract agreement with Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions. As part of the deal, Hewden will provide a comprehensive package of equipment including excavators and dumpers along with skilled operators.

Balfour Beatty has a set of safety principles that it expects adherence to on any of its jobsites and the company said Hewden fulfilled all its requirements.

“Hewden was able to meet all of our key supplier measurements including those around accreditation and national coverage,” said Donna Stevens, a buyer at Balfour Beatty. “Most importantly, the company’s attention to safety is as stringent as our own; an important factor, and a key component of Balfour Beatty’s journey to Zero Harm across the business.”

“Our team works closely with Balfour Beatty to ensure our credentials are in line with the company’s safety and sustainability initiatives,” said Hewden national account manager Chris Matthew. “With our network of depots we’re able to support the company’s operations nationwide.”
