Haulotte Plans Middle East, Asia, Expansions

The Haulotte Group last week announced expansion plans for Asia and the Middle East.

At the Big 5 PMV trade show in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Haulotte said it is expanding its regional presence with new offices in Libya in 2009 and Algeria in 2010. Haulotte’s expansion reflects the growth of the construction and aerial markets in the Middle East and North Africa. At the five-day Big 5 PMV show, France-based Haulotte launched its new telescopic big boom, an aerial work platform with a 6-meter telescopic jib.

The company is currently delivering about 1,000 aerial units to the Middle East each year.

In other Haulotte news, Access International magazine reports that Haulotte plans to begin manufacturing aerial work platforms in Asia in 2009, most likely in China.
