Harsco Takes On $1.5 Million Contract in France
Worldwide industrial services company Harsco Corp. last week announced a $1.5 million contract to provide rental forming, shoring and design engineering services during construction of the second-largest hospital complex in France. The contract comes from French construction giant Eiffage.
The hospital is being built in Evry, 25 miles south of Paris. The facility will serve a region of about 600,000 people. Harsco’s rental formwork will be used throughout most of this year for construction of the multi-story building’s cast-in-place concrete slabs, including its floors and walls.
Harsco, which had revenues of $3.7 billion in 2007, is based in Harrisburg, Pa. Its Patent Construction Systems division, which concentrates on projects in North America, is No. 18 on the RER 100.
