Spain’s Leading Aerial Specialist Euroloc Continues Acquisition Spree
Euroloc, Spain’s largest aerial work platform sales and rental company continued its consolidation of the aerial sector with the acquisition of UMESA, also an aerial specialist with headquarters in Castellbisbal, near Barcelona. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
With the integration of UMESA, Grupo Euroloc’s annual revenue will total about €240 million (about U.S. $330 million), and the company’s fleet would be close to 33,000 units. UMESA has enjoyed a growth rate of almost 40 percent annually in recent years, and totaled about €49 million in 2006 revenue (about U.S. $67 million).
UMESA president Gaspar Puig will join Euroloc’s board of directors.
“Today our group is 30 percent larger,” said Euroloc advisor Juan Dionis. “This step responds once again to our strategy of consolidation in the market. The integration of UMESA is going to be another fundamental pillar for our growth, especially in the segment of rental of aerial work platforms.”
In June, Euroloc acquires Crane HOMS, a major leader in equipment rental in the Catalonia region, and Nacanco, also an aerial rental specialist.
