Edmonton’s Northern Crane Services Acquires Parkland Crane
NC Services Group, parent company of Edmonton, Alberta-based Northern Crane Services, has purchased the assets and business of Parkland Crane Service Ltd., also a provider of aerial work platforms and cranes in the Edmonton area.
“Parkland Crane is very much a family business and we are excited to welcome all the Parkland employees,” said NCS CEO and co-founder Leo Davis.
Parkland has been in business since 1981 when it was founded by Jim and Barb Robinson, who still run the company.
“The merger is another step in our strategy to strengthen our position as the lifting and heavy haul solutions provider of choice,” said John Stevens, NCS president and chief operating officer. “Parkland will add to our resources and their experience and customer base will be an added benefit for NCS.”
Robinson said the acquisition will enable Parkland to improve its customer serve levels with additional equipment and resources provided by NCS.”
NCS has facilities in Edmonton, Fort McMurray and Grande Prairie, providing lift services throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories. Its Fort McMurray branch is in the heart of the oil sands activity.
