Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Ltd., based in South Korea, will set up a manufacturing facility in Chennai, India, Indian media is reporting. The new factory will manufacture boilers for thermal power projects in the country, India’s Business Standard reported.

The facility would produce equipment for the generation of about 3,000 MW every year at a time when India is looking to scale up its power equipment manufacturing capacity.
