Coates Offshore Opens U.K. Branch

Coates Offshore, which specializes in rentals to the oil and gas industry, opened a branch in Great Yarmouth, U.K. The operation will be managed from Coates Offshore’s headquarters in Aberdeen, Scotland.

“Great Yarmouth was an obvious and ideal location for Coates Offshore,” said sales and marketing director Ian Cass. “We have relationships with a number of customers here in Aberdeen whom also operate in Great Yarmouth. Opening and operating a dedicated facility enables us to provide our customers with a greater level of service, reduced transportation costs and investment in equipment to accommodate offshore weight restrictions. The new outer harbor development in Great Yarmouth will also enable easier and more cost effective transportation of equipment to Holland and Norway helping us to grow our business in Europe.”

Established in 1999, Coates Offshore (Rentair Ltd.) has support operations in the Netherlands, Norway, Brazil, Malaysia, Indonesia, Western Australia and Angola. The company has a large fleet of compressors specifically designed for the oil and gas sector.
