Messe München International, organizers of Bauma, the world’s largest equipment trade show, as well as Bauma China and most recently bC India, is planning a Bauma Africa show to be held in September 2013 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The company will set up a subsidiary in South Africa to organize the event, which it hopes will attract around 200 exhibitors and more than 20,000 square metres of exhibition space. Organizers said the show is primarily targeted at sub-Sahara Africa.

"South Africa is a market with a future that offers great potential for the construction machinery industry,” said Eugen Egetenmeir, managing director of Messe München. “The feedback regarding such an event has been very positive."
