Material Handling Giant Barloworld to Manage Fleet at JCB’s U.K. Facilities
Equipment manufacturer JCB has agreed to a five-year contract with Barloworld Handling to manage its material-handling fleet — in excess of 310 units — in 11 of its United Kingdom factories, according to online reports.
The deal includes an order for 94 new JCB Teletruks, which will be used across JCB’s operations to support applications that utilize their forward-reach capabilities. The total fleet includes Hyster forklift trucks, tow tractors, sideloaders and warehouse equipment. A mix of diesel and LPG-powered forklifts between 3- and 7-tonne capacities perform a variety of material-handling duties in the factories, which include the Loadall Division and JCB World Parts.
