Atlas Copco Wins $24 Million Order for Road Construction Equipment in China
Atlas Copco last week received an order for Dynapac-branded rollers and pavers from China-based Xuzhou Gongli Road and Bridge Construction Machinery Co. Ltd, valued at approximately MSEK 170 (about U.S $24.3 million). The order was signed at a formal ceremony during the Bauma exhibition in Shanghai, China.
The equipment will be used to construct highways, bridges, dams and airports throughout China and will be delivered during a six-month period in 2010/2011.
“We are proud to receive this large order for road construction equipment on the important Chinese market,” says Björn Rosengren, business area president of Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Technique. “It shows that Chinese customers value the strong performance they get from Dynapac equipment and the added value we offer through our Chinese service and support organization."
Xuzhou Gongli Road and Bridge Construction Machinery Co. is a rapidly growing construction equipment contractor doing business in five major provinces of China. The company was established in 1994 and operates out of Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, in East China.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Atlas Copco is an industrial group that produces compressors, construction and mining equipment, power tools and assembly systems.
