Foot Traffic Drops at World of Concrete

Las Vegas — Although official attendance figures were not yet available at press time, foot traffic appeared to be down at least 20 percent during the first three days at the World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas this month.

Although a number of manufacturers interviewed by RER said they were disappointed with attendance, others, such as Serge Bosche of Manitou and John Vogel of Chicago Pneumatic Construction Tools, were optimistic about the quality of attendees.

“We got about 300 quality leads in the first two-and-a-half days,” Vogel told RER. Several manufacturers said they felt a high percentage of attendees were decision makers and that attending companies, in general, brought fewer people with them to the show, but were just as serious about the equipment.

Attendance figures were not available at press time. Next year's World of Concrete show will be Feb. 2-5 in Las Vegas.
