West Virginia Caterpillar dealer Walker Machinery last week laid off 23 employees, according to Internet reports. The move primarily affects technicians working on the repair and reconditioning of Caterpillar equipment.

Walker, which has been doing business in West Virginia for more than 50 years, hopes to be able to re-hire the laid off workers in the not-too-distant future.
