Volvo Rents Hardhat Comedy Tour Visits Edmonton, Alberta

Volvo Rents Construction Equipment’s Hardhat Comedy Tour will visit Edmonton, Alberta, tonight in the LIVE Lounge at River Cree Resort & Casino. Along with nationally renowned comic Matt Kazam, the show will feature Sean Lecomber and emcee Ryan Ash.

“We need events like this to continue to show contractors and the community that we care,” said Lance Gardiner, co-owner of Volvo Rents stores in Western Canada. “We’re grateful to our construction customers for their support in this effort, and to River Cree Resort & Casino for providing the venue.” Donations were made to Edmonton’s Food Bank by way of Volvo Rents’ philanthropic arm “Operation More Care.”

The show in the Live Lounge at The River Cree Resort & Casino begins at 8 p.m., with seating first come-first served starting at 7 p.m. Admission is 3 non-perishable food items for the food bank, or a monetary donation.

Volvo Rents’ Operation More Care is a philanthropic umbrella that currently supports local and national charities, including local food banks, breast cancer research, home building, and more. Volvo Rents has put together the 15+city Hardhat Comedy tour that offers free admission when attendees donate three or more non-perishable food items to their local food bank, for example, or bring personal care items needed by our troops overseas. The tour has already raised thousands of pounds of food for local food banks.

Matt Kazam is a veteran comic with 19 years of experience.

Sean Lecomber was the winner of the 2007 Just for Laughs Homegrown competition. He has been featured on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and his hour-long comedy special airs regularly on the Comedy Network.

Edmonton’s Food Banksupplies food to more than 160 agencies, churches and depots throughout the city.

Volvo Rents, based in Asheville, N.C., is No. 19 on the RER 100.
