Volvo Rents continued its acquisition spree with the purchase of Big L Rentals & Sales, a single-location equipment rental company in Garden City, Kan. Volvo Rents has made more than 40 acquisitions in the past year and now has 111 branches.
“We believe there is tremendous opportunity in the market in general, and specifically in the state of Kansas,” said Mike Crouch, vice president of business development for Volvo Rents. Volvo Rents already has rental centers in Wichita and Pittsburg, Kan.
Big L Rentals & Sales was previously owned by Jack and Dixie Beery, who have owned the store since 1996.
Based in Shippensburg, Pa., Volvo Rents is No. 17 on the RER 100.
