Vermeer Corp. has been selected again by Caterpillar as a Preferred Allied Vendor to its Cat Rental Stores for 2010.
Prospective vendors undergo an annual review by Caterpillar, and selection is based on a comprehensive review of the company’s product offerings, field distribution and support, training capabilities and results from a dealer survey. Vermeer has been a preferred vendor since the early days of the Cat Rental Store program.
“Vermeer is fortunate to have had a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Caterpillar,” said Jay Sunderman, senior global accounts manager for Vermeer. “The relationship has created synergies between our two companies due in part to our ability to provide complementary earth-moving equipment to an overlapping customer base. The Vermeer tree-care equipment has also allowed many of the Cat Rental Store operations to expand their customer base by adding brush chippers and stump cutters to their rental offering.”
