United Rentals last week appointed Irene Moshouris vice president and treasurer, effective immediately.
"We are extremely pleased to have Irene join us in this key role on our financial leadership team,” said Martin Welch, executive vice president and chief financial officer. “We look forward to benefiting from her considerable acumen and experience."
Moshouris has served in numerous treasury and tax management positions with global corporations, most recently as vice president and deputy treasurer with Avon Products. She held earlier positions at Avon as assistant treasurer - international treasury, and as director of global finance for the company's interests in Europe and Latin America. Previously, Moshouris served in tax management and analysis positions with GTE Corp., Sterling Winthrop and Arthur Anderson & Co.
She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in accounting and economics from Queens
College, a Juris Doctorate degree from Brooklyn Law School, and a Master of Laws degree in taxation from New York University School of Law.
Greenwich, Conn.-based United Rentals is No. 1 on the RER 100.
