United Rentals recently opened one of its largest facilities, an aerial specialty facility in Bridgeport, Conn. The new facility, a replacement of the company’s Fairfield, Conn., branch, is roughly 38,000 square feet on a 7-acre area.

“It has what we believe to be a state-of-the-art aerial facility with a full training center upstairs, a customer service center, a full parts department, a full paint and refurb facility, and a large vehicle maintenance facility,” Steve Nadelman, senior vice president of operations, told RER. “We will service the tri-state area from the facility and do a lot of the heavier maintenance and a fairly significant customer repair business as well. We do painting and modification for projects as well.”

Managing the branch will be Barry Davis, a long-time veteran of the company, with a lot of experience in the aerial arena.

Based in Greenwich, Conn., United Rentals is No. 1 on the RER 100.
