Tuff Equipment Rentals, based in Slidell, La., recently acquired Cole’s Rental World of Mandeville and Covington, La. The two Coles stores are strategically located between Tuff’s locations in Slidell and Hammond, La., which Tuff opened in January of this year. With the acquisition, all of Cole’s employees will continue with Tuff.

The Kastner family, which owns Tuff, and Cole’s owner Wes Cole are long-time friends and have discussed a possible merger between the companies for years.

“Cole’s Rental World has strong customer relationships built on years of equipment rental expertise,” said Tuff president Ralph Kastner. “Tuff is delighted that its employees will be joining our team.”

Tuff rents a wide variety of tools and equipment for contractors and homeowners, along with contractor supplies. It offers equipment delivery, operator safety training, and 24-hour emergency response.
