True Value Offers Midwest Regional Demo Day to Rental Operators

True Value Co. brought together more than 100 supplier representatives, rental operators and store associates to take part in its second regional Rental Demo Day in Menomonee Falls, Wis. The May 1 event was held at Wacker Neuson’s facility, which has ample land for demonstrations of construction, excavation, event rental and general tool equipment.

“This hands-on product demonstration speaks to our continued commitment to support our rental operators in ways that are meaningful to their operations and helpful in the training of their associates,” said Eric Lane, True Value vice president, specialty businesses. “The event was an efficient way to make it convenient and easy for our rental operators to have access to a broad range of suppliers from which they could collect a wealth of knowledge about the equipment that help grow the business.”

“Demo Day offers its members the opportunity to operate or see the equipment demonstrated in their proper application,” added Tim Lickel, Wacker Neuson’s strategic business development manager. “After trying out a piece of equipment they can compare the performance against what they currently have in their fleet or similar products in the industry.”

The True Value event also offered attendees the opportunity to learn about True Value programs.

Suppliers included Anchor Industries, Bosch, Bobcat, Graco, Husqvarna, Toro, Ditch Witch, Electric Eel, Subaru, Vermeer, Volvo CE, Genie, Bil-Jax/Haulotte, IronPlanet and more.

True Value, based in Chicago, is one of the world’s largest retailer-owned hardware cooperatives with sales of $1.9 billion in 2011. It includes store identities such as True Value, Grand Rental Station, Taylor Rental and others.
