Top 10 Party Rental Company Acquired by its President

Paul Weidner, president of Kirby Rental Service & Sales Inc., one of the leading special event rental companies in the country, acquired the company last week with Robert Picerne, principal of the Picerne Real Estates Group. PREG is an 80-year-old real estate property management, construction and development company with 40,000 multi-family housing units in 28 states.

Kirby has locations in Orlando, Jacksonville and Ormond Beach, Fla. The company rents high-end special event rental equipment, including a wide array of tents, to high-profile clients around the country, including NASCAR events and PGA golf tournaments. Kirby is No. 9 on the latest Special Events Magazine listing of the Top 30 party/special event rental companies in the country.

Dick Browne, long-time owner of Kirby Rental Service & Sales is retiring after 50 years.

Hageman, Stansberry & Associates, based in Arlington, Texas, and Cameron Park, Calif., represented Kirby in the transaction.
