Road Machinery & Supplies Co. to Distribute Terex Compact Equipment in Florida

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. last week announced its five Florida locations will now offer the full line of Terex compact construction equipment to its customers. The Terex compact equipment line is made up of more than 45 product models, including skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders, wheel loaders, compact excavators and loader backhoes.

“We welcome Road Machinery & Supplies, with locations in Davie, Ft. Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa, Fla., as a new Terex compact equipment distributor,” said Dean Barley, general manager, Terex Construction Americas. “Taking on the Terex line gives Road Machinery & Supplies the opportunity to provide their current customers with more equipment options, as well as to attract new customers who are focused on applications that require smaller machines.”

Road Machinery & Supplies serves the needs of Florida customers who work in a variety of industries including construction, mining, aggregate, forestry, scrap, demolition, industrial, municipal, utility and attachment markets. Its locations provide customers with new and used construction equipment, as well as parts and service support.

According to Steve Fowler, general manager, Road Machinery & Supplies, the Florida locations have a strong customer base in the demolition and scrap markets, and have traditionally focused on selling and servicing those customers with larger equipment.

“Adding the Terex compact line gives us the opportunity to increase our market share in our existing customer base,” Fowler said. “Taking on the Terex line also opens the door for us to attract new business and meet the needs of customers in other markets.”

In addition, Road Machinery & Supplies customers who purchase Terex compact construction equipment have financing options through Terex Financial Services, which offers a range of finance and leasing solutions, structured to accommodate customers’ cash flow and budgets.

Headquartered in Westport, Conn., Terex Corp. reports in five business segments: Aerial Work Platforms; Construction; Cranes; Material Handling & Port Solutions; and Materials Processing.
