Swedesboro, N.J.-basedMMD Equipment announced last week that Dan Suchan has been appointed to vice president of national accounts. Suchan will be responsible for developing relationships with key national rental companies and marketing MMD’s line of construction-related products to those customers.

He joins MMD from The Home Depot where he most recently held a senior management position within its Tool Rental Division. Suchan has been in the rental industry his entire career including positions held at Hertz Equipment Rental and a Caterpillar dealer in the Southeastern United States prior to joining The Home Depot.

“I am extremely pleased to have a business leader of Dan’s experience and knowledge to lead MMD’s national accounts business,” said Bob Wright, MMD Equipment president. “His understanding of the rental industry both on the operational level as well as sales and marketing will not only serve MMD well, but also its customers.”

MMD Equipment distributes construction-related products to the North American equipment rental industry through its network of direct and independent sales agents. It is celebrating its 31st year in the North American market in 2007.
