Stellar Industries, a manufacturer of hooklift hoists, cable hoists, container carriers, telescopic cranes, articulating, work truck accessories and other items, has purchased a former United Rentals store in Mason City, Iowa, as a retail and service center for its hydraulic truck-mounted products, the Mason City Globe Gazette is reporting. Stellar expects to have the retail facility operating later this spring.

Stellar acquired the building for $740,000, according to public records. The company said that although its Garner, Iowa, facility is better suited for manufacturing and installation of new equipment, the new facility will be used more for repair work and support, with easy interstate access.
