Spider, a division of SafeWorks Llc recently hired Doug McCormick as district sales representative for its Chicago location. In this position, McCormick is responsible for solving suspended access and safety challenges for contractors and facility owners in northern Illinois, eastern Iowa, and all but the western region of Wisconsin.
Bringing extensive experience in swing stage work, McCormick served as general manager of Designed Equipment for 15 years, held a vice president of sales role with Midwest Access and most recently managed sales and operations at Sky Climber Chicago Llc.
“Doug’s deep understanding of Chicago’s construction market and solid record of growing contractors’ business is a powerful combination with our outstanding Chicago operations team,” said John Sotiroff, Spider vice president, sales and distribution.
Founded in 1947, Seattle-based Spider provides baskets, traction hoist and platform rental, safety and training, and specialty-engineered access products. It is No. 70 on the RER 100.
