Spider Announces Promotions and First Trainee Program Graduates

Spider a division of SafeWorks LLC last week announced the return of Clint Ramberg to the company in the west region area director role.

Ramberg first joined Spider in 1998 as a district sales representative in Portland. He excelled in that role and was promoted in early 2000 to branch manager - Philadelphia. In 2004, Ramberg moved to a project manager role in the Permanent Installations group, handling the East Coast territory. Ramberg most recently served as division manager with Brand Energy Solutions covering six mountain states.

As West region area director, Ramberg is Denver-based and holds complete P&L responsibility for the Denver, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Las Vegas and San Diego branches.

Spider also recently transferred Kaagen Monroe, Portland district sales representative to its San Francisco location in the district sales representative role.

Monroe began his career with the Spider Portland branch in January 2001 as a service technician shortly after Spider opened this location. He progressed to operations manager and has served as district sales representative since 2004. Monroe was recently recognized for exceptional sales results.

“Kaagen’s background as a contractor and his extensive sales and operations experience position him well for the successful transition to the San Francisco role, in which he’ll have sales responsibility for Northern California and part of Nevada,” said John Sotiroff, vice president, sales and distribution.

The company also announced promotions of James Koker to district sales representative, Portland and Patrick Mathis to operations supervisor for its Chicago location.

Koker and Mathis successfully completed Spider’s Sales and Operations Trainee program — the company’s six-month ‘boot camp’ for developing and deploying key talent throughout its 24 branch locations in North America. Trainees rotate through a program combining classroom training, functional headquarters assignments and field roles in preparation for promotion to permanent positions.

Koker is responsible for solving the suspended access and safety challenges of contractors and facility owners in Oregon and the inland Northwest. He will focus on driving new business from both commercial and industrial customers.

Mathis is responsible for day-to-day operations in suspended access project execution and customer fulfillment in Chicago, one of Spider’s fastest-growing locations. Mathis joined Spider in 2006 as a service technician in the Atlanta location and earned a spot in Spider’s trainee program in late 2007.

Seattle-based Spider is No. 70 on the new RER 100.
