Spider Hires Operations Managers in Las Vegas and New York

Eric Valentine joins Spider as operations manager for its Las Vegas location. He is responsible for leading branch operations in the territory covering Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and southern Utah.

Spider, a division of SafeWorks LLC recently hired Eric Valentine as operations manager for its Las Vegas location, and Joe Simone as operations manager for its New York location.

Valentine is responsible for leading branch operations in the territory covering Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and southern Utah. Simone will lead branch operations in the New York region.

Bringing 16 years of sales and operational management experience in elevator, construction and logistics markets, Valentine most recently served as sales manager/operations at Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services, providing scaffolding, insulation, refractory and coatings to the refining and power industries across the United States. Prior to joining Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services Valentine held the position of supervisor/sales for Thyssenkrupp Safway.

“Spider is passionate about equipping its team with strong leaders to deliver the reliable experience our customers expect,” said John Sotiroff, vice president, sales and distribution. “Our Las Vegas branch is in capable hands as Eric draws on his extensive variety of business experience to lead them to success.”

Simone previously served as warehouse operations manager for Union Beer Distributors in Brooklyn, N.Y. He held progressively more responsible roles over his 15 years with this distribution facility.

“Joe’s tenacity, knowledge, and solid record of leadership have helped him foster relationships with both customers and associates, and we look forward to his contributions to our outstanding New York team,” Sotiroff said.

Founded in 1947, Seattle-based Spider, a division of SafeWorks, is No. 70 on the RER 100.
