Spider, a division of SafeWorks LLC recently hired Mike Gibbs as area director for the Gulf Coast region. Gibbs will lead, manage and inspire branch sales and operations in the Gulf Coast region. Spider branches in his territory are in Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, and Pensacola, Fla.

Before joining the Spider team, Gibbs served as fabrication manager for Guardian Industries Corp., a leading supplier of fabricated glass and exterior automotive products.

The company also hired Brandon Lamb as district sales representative for the Houston operation center.

In this position, Lamb is responsible for solving contractors’ suspended access and safety challenges in the Houston area.

Lamb brings more than 10 years of experience in the scaffolding sales and rental industry to his new role. In his most recent position in outside sales with United Access, L.P., he established new accounts, assisted customers with product selection, and trained customers in the proper usage of equipment.

His prior selling roles included Houston area locations of Sunbelt Rentals, Indian Mill & Lumber, and KHK Scaffolding.
