Snorkel Appoints Distributor in Guam

Snorkel has appointed Mid Pac Far East LLC as its distributor for the U.S. Territory of Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of Palau and the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

MPFE was founded in Guam in 1970 to provide sales, parts and service of heavy-duty trucks, power generation, construction equipment and materials handling equipment. Currently, the largest provider of these services in the region, MPFE is a member of the JRV Group, a diversified holding company whose business operations include the largest regional distributors of automotive parts, lubricants and chemicals, auto and heavy duty batteries, paint and safety products and commercial and passenger tires.

“Mid Pac Far East has superb product support capabilities, developed through decades of experience in materials handling equipment,” said Nick Sowden, president of Snorkel Asia. “The company’s strong relationships in the heavy equipment and logistics sector will undoubtedly help us grow sales in this region.”

MPFE, which is also the exclusive local dealer for Kenworth Trucks, Doosan lifts, Cummins, Federal Signal, Allison Transmission, Fassi Cranes and other prominent brands, is based in Barrigada, Guam, and is in the process of moving to a brand new facility being built to accommodate its rapid expansion.

“There is a lot of demand for aerial lifts from our customer base and construction contractors in particular,” said Mark Cruz, sales manager for MPFE. “With Snorkel, we now have a strong brand to promote, that has a very broad range of reliable, easy-to-use aerials.”

Snorkel has had a strong presence on the island of Guam for nearly 20 years through equipment rental company and longstanding Snorkel customer, East-West Rental Center.
