Sims Crane & Equipment Co. last week opened a branch in Ocala, Fla., the Tampa-based crane and aerial rental company’s ninth location. The facility will offer Sims’ full line of cranes, JLG boomlifts, Skytrak rough-terrain forklifts, and Champion personnel and material hoists and construction debris chutes. Sims has more than 600 machines in its fleet, including 300 cranes.

Bob Sheely Jr. will manage the new branch. Sims also has branches in Orlando, Mulberry, Melbourne, Daytona, Jacksonville, Vero Beach, Miami and Fort Myers.

Sims carries industrial carrydeck cranes from 8-ton to 20-ton capacity; rough-terrain cranes from 15 to 80 tons, hydraulic truck cranes from 18 to 550 tons, plus all-terrain cranes, lattice-boom truck cranes and more. Its boomlifts range from 40 to 135 feet.
