Sims Crane & Equipment, major Florida-based provider of crane and equipment rental services, named Kurt Kufferman vice president general manager of operations. Kufferman will oversee the day-to-day operations of all departments located at the company’s Tampa headquarters including dispatch, shop, service, parts and yard activities.

Kufferman will also serve as coordinator to branch operations across the state.

Kufferman joined Sims Crane in 1983 as a salesman in Bradenton, Fla. In 1986, he became manager of the company’s Orlando office, and his most recent role was branch manager of the Miami facility. Keith Lester will take over Kufferman’s position, assuming responsibility for operations of the Miami branch and the South Florida region.

Based in Tampa, Fla., Sims Crane & Equipment, which was established in 1959, is No. 45 on the RER 100. The company has 11 branches in Florida.
