Safway Services has been named one of America’s Safest Companies in 2010, according to an extensive selection process administered by EHS Today magazine. The corporate award, founded in 2002, names 12 companies, including Safway, one of the world’s largest scaffolding rental companies.

“Our safety management system continues to evolve and improve as we further establish Safway Services as a leader in the scaffolding and temporary access provider industry,” said Safway director of safety Alan Shamblin.

To be considered for the award, EHS Today seeks organizations that demonstrate support from management and employee involvement, innovative solutions to safety challenges, injury and illness rates lower than the average for their industries, comprehensive training programs, evidence that prevention of incidents is the cornerstone of the safety process, good communication about the value of safety and a way to substantiate the benefits of the safety process.

Safway Services, based in Waukesha, Wis., is No. 14 on the RER 100.
