The board of directors of RSC Holdings last week announced it has elected Donald Roof as an independent director and member of its audit committee, effective immediately. Roof’s appointment expands the board to 12 members.
Roof recently retired as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Joy Global, a worldwide manufacturer of mining equipment. Prior to joining Joy, Roof was president and CEO of Heafner Tire Group, where he had also served as chief financial officer. He currently serves as a director and audit committee chairperson of Accuride Corp.
Simultaneous with his election to RSC Holdings, Roof was elected to the board of directors of its wholly owned operating subsidiary, RSC Equipment Rental.
Scottsdale, Ariz.-based RSC Equipment Rental is No. 3 on the RER 100.
