Joe Pustizzi Teams With Inventor of Surface-Cleaning System

Pictured from left: Nigel Farrow of West Chester, Pa., and inventor of The Farrow System, made his partnership with equipment veteran Joe Pustizzi Jr., president of New Jersey’s Trico Equipment Services, official in October. The partnership was formed to solidify the U.S.-based venture to globally sell and distribute the patented surface-cleaning system.

Joe Pustizzi Jr., president of Trico Equipment Services, has teamed with Nigel Farrow, inventor of a new surface-cleaning system called The Farrow System, to globally sell and distribute the product.

Pustizzi, a 40-year equipment industry veteran, is teaming with Farrow who previously distributed the system independently. “Joe’s construction equipment experience and strong business acumen is a perfect complement to help The Farrow System reach its true global market potential,” said Farrow.

The Farrow System is a patented surface-cleaning machine that is an alternative to sandblasting. The Farrow System’s chemical-free technology removes protective and unwanted coatings such as oxidation and graffiti from most surfaces without damaging them. When mixed with pressurized water, the mineral-based Green Clean media cleans surfaces in a dust-free environment, requiring minimal water, blast pressure, containment and disposal.

“Conventional blasting often requires complete containment and disposal due to significant dust and contaminants, all of which can be extremely costly,” said Pustizzi. “You hear about products being ‘revolutionary,’ but the word truly fits here. Ours is a ‘wet-blast’ system that has taken a standard, complicated process and made it completely chemical-free, fast-acting and controlled.”

Farrow said he developed the cleaning method originally to remove coatings from fiberglass boat hulls without damaging their delicate gel coats. “However, it instantly became an attractive option to other industries because of its cost efficiency and environmental safety,” said Farrow.

The units have been used not only by the marine industry, but for a variety of restoration, surface cleaning, industrial painting, and facility maintenance purposes. Pustizzi said the partnership will enable users more complete product services and support, adding he hoped to hear from those who purchased the product prior to the partnership so they can be offered the same support.
