National Trench Safety Expands to Sacramento

National Trench Safety, a Houston-based company specializing in the rental and sales of trench and traffic safety equipment, as well as OSHA-compliant training classes, has opened a branch in Sacramento, Calif. The Sacramento branch is the company’s second in California, and is NTS’ 11th branch, with others in Arizona, Texas, Utah and Louisiana.

NTS acquired certain operating assets previously owned by Traffic Control Services in Sacramento.

The Sacramento branch will be managed by Ed Pal, veteran of more than 16 years of experience in the Sacramento trench and traffic safety industry.

“Sacramento is an important strategic location for NTS and a market we have been watching for some time,” said Ron Chilton, president of NTS. “As a base for our new branch, we were able to acquire certain operating assets that were previously owned by Traffic Control Services in Sacramento. When we combine the TCS asset purchase and the additional fleet we have allocated to this market, we will invest more upfront fleet dollars in our new Sacramento branch than normal to assure we can respond to the market needs in a timely manner.”

NTS plans to open additional locations in 2012, Chilton said.
