Midwest Tools & Equipment, Rock Island, Ill., last week held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and customer appreciation weekend to introduce the company’s new owners to the community. New owner Kodie Wittenauer purchased the 19-year-old company in June.
The newly revamped store offers a wide selection of specialty and discount tools, equipment and related products. Wittenauer updated the operational side of the business by implementing a new barcode inventory system, and has plans to add a new line of rental equipment as well as develop a website for online sales.
