Low Country Machinery Names New President

Low Country Machinery, the authorized JCB dealer for the Coastal Georgia region has named Rick Piper as the new president of the organization.

“I am excited about this opportunity,” said Piper. “I am confident that with the support of JCB and the talented team at Low Country Machinery, we can take this business to the next level.”

Piper, who has more than 20 years of experience in the construction equipment industry, joins Low Country Machinery from JCB’s North American headquarters where he served as vice president of national accounts. During his tenure at JCB, Piper helped cultivate vital business relationships and has implemented strategic customer-focused initiatives that have been critical to JCB’s success in the area of national accounts.

Piper replaces Dusty Zeigler who decided to step down as president of Low Country Machinery to pursue other interests.

Low Country Machinery is the authorized JCB dealer for the coastal Georgia region. It has been serving the heavy equipment industry in this market since 2001. Located next door to JCB’s North American headquarters, it is uniquely situated to provide service and support.

Piper grew up in the construction industry becoming involved in his family’s construction business at a young age. His professional career began with a rental company in Buffalo N.Y. He then spent 11 years with the hydraulic hammer division of Sandvik departing as general manager for North America. He joined JCB in 2001 and his experience comprises of a number of functions in the commercial, sales and marketing areas

Pooler, Ga.-based Low Country Machinery has a large fleet of rental equipment including everything from excavators and backhoes to the smaller mini excavators and skid steers. Low Country sells both new and used equipment and provides parts and service solutions for everything from small mowers to the largest earthmoving equipment.
