Lifting Gear Hire Corp. Goes Year without Accident in Bridgeview
Lifting Gear Hire Corp. has recorded zero lost-time accidents and zero medical aids or restricted-duty cases for more than a year at its Bridgeview, Ill., facility, the company said. By this time last year, LGH had several recordable injuries among its 110-person work force. The company credits its commitment to safety training for the reduction of accidents in 2009.
“Our safety training is vast and covers a variety of topics, said Doug Dikun, safety administrator for LGH. “Each month is planned, scheduled and then set up by me with current information. It is also provided in English and Spanish to all locations.”
All programs and materials are reviewed and approved annually by the company’s Safety Committee Meeting, ensuring they are up-to-date with OSHA, EPA and Lifting Gear-Mandated Safety and Environment training.
Lifting Gear Hire Corp. is dedicated to the rental and sale of lifting, winching and material handling equipment and associated services. It has 11 branches in the U.S., and is No. 78 on the RER 100.
