U.S. Recalls Certain Honda and Mantis Mini Tillers

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission this week announced a voluntary recall of Honda and Mantis Mini Tillers with Honda GX25 mini four-stroke engines. The reason is a rubber grommet that is part of the engine’s fuel tank that could crack and leak fuel, posing a fire hazard.

At this point, no incidents or injuries have been reported through the use of this equipment. The engines were made in Thailand and assembled in the United States, using domestic and globally sourced products.

The recalled units are Honda Mini Tiller, model number FG110 with serial numbers GCALT 1696948 to 1700567, and the Mantis Mini Tiller, model numbers 7262 and 7270 with serial numbers GCART-1165215 to 1171495. Serial numbers can be found on the engine near the fuel tank cap. Both brands are red and black.

Consumers should stop using the machines; registered owners will be sent a notice by mail.
